Cyerra Pemberton
Voice
Cyerra attends Wright State University where she will earn a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance this spring. Before transferring to Wright State in 2022, she earned an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a music focus from Sinclair Community College.
While at Sinclair, Cyerra received the Helen Claire Danner Regensburger Music Memorial Scholarship. During her time at Wright State, she has participated in the Treble Chorus, Collegiate Chorale, and Wright State Opera, and has been a featured soloist in the 2023 and 2024 Arts Galas. Cyerra has served as a founding member and Secretary of the WSU chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, and soprano section leader in the Collegiate Chorale. This past spring, she gave her junior recital and received the Sarah Tipps Scholarship for Music, as well as performing her first opera role, Rosalinde, in Wright State Opera’s production of Die Fledermaus.
Cyerra sings with the Chancel Choir at the First Baptist Church of Dayton and works as a freelance soprano. Most recently, Cyerra performed as a featured soloist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in their New World Symphony program, and joined one hundred voices in the Community Mass Choir formed for the event in June.
Through both performance and education, she enjoys being able to share her love of music with others, and strives to inspire students to cultivate their musical skills and their passion for the arts.
