Elise Taylor
Piano
Elise is a MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and dedicated piano educator with a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Pedagogy from Cedarville University. Having started her own piano journey at age 14, Elise brings a deep empathy to her teaching and a strong belief that every student, regardless of age or background, can thrive musically. Her personal experience as a late starter helps her connect with beginners in a meaningful way as she approaches each lesson with patience, clarity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
Elise has taught private and group piano lessons to a variety of students ranging from young beginners to early advanced players using curriculums such as Faber Piano Adventures and Piano Safari. She emphasizes creativity, technique, confident performance skills, and encourages each student to have individual expression through music.
Elise served as an instructor at the Athens Community Music School and was awarded a graduate assistantship at Ohio University where she taught both private lessons and group piano for undergraduate music majors and children. She worked as the Music Coordinator for Wellspring Summer Camp, where she designed a music program for pre-K to middle school students.
Elise is passionate about creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can grow not only as pianists, but as confident individuals.
