Allan Ware

Guitar & Ukulele

Allan is a guitar player and teacher from the Dayton area. He studied jazz guitar with Michael Kotur for five years and played in jazz ensembles while attending Archbishop Alter High School and Wright State University. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies degree from Central State University. Outside of his academic life, he also plays in local music groups and is most familiar with the rock, blues and jazz genres. His influences on the guitar range from Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Hubert Sumlin, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, and Tal Farlow. He is comfortable teaching students of all ages and levels, and offers lessons on the ukulele and bass guitar as well. His lessons are tailored to each student to help them achieve their musical goals.
