
Caroline Benton
Violin
Caroline is a senior at Wright State University, majoring in violin performance with additional studies in viola. She is a student of Dr. In-Hong Cha and previously studied with Dr. Kevin Nordstrom at Sinclair College. She is a member of the WSU Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, and is active in several chamber music groups throughout the Dayton area. Caroline is a board member of the Dayton Music Club, and is a tutor at Sinclair College, working with music theory and music history students.
Caroline has experience teaching violin and viola students of all ages, and loves watching them gain confidence and joy in playing. She strives to help students develop solid technique and knowledge of music repertoire and theory, as well as a love for creating music and cultivating curiosity.
Some of her favorite musical genres to play and perform are Romantic, Impressionist, Folk, and Celtic Fiddle. Aside from all things musical, she loves coffee, hiking and kayaking, and spending time with her family. Caroline is looking forward to working with students at The Piano Preparatory School, and sharing her love of music!
