Deborah Johnson

Cello

Debbie received her Bachelor of Music and Masters of Music degrees in Cello Performance from Wright State University, graduating with the Outstanding Graduating Graduate Student Award. She is also a pianist, and is currently working towards her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at Ohio State University. She loves chamber music and has played piano and cello in multiple chamber groups. Debbie has attended the National Music Festival in Maryland as a cello and piano apprentice. She has performed the Saint-Saens cello concerto in a masterclass with Tobias Werner. She has also played cello with multiple orchestras including the Southwest Ohio Philharmonic, Butler Philharmonic Orchestra and Lima Symphony Orchestra. She is currently a piano accompanist at Sinclair Community College and a performing member of the Dayton Music Club. In her free time, Debbie likes to play clarinet and spend time with her husband and cats.
