Shannon Myers, Voice

Shannon, born and raised in Northeast Ohio, has been passionate about music since the first grade. Through encouragement from her family, friends, and teachers, Shannon performed solos in concerts and entered many competitions. Going into college, Shannon always said, "I'd love to be a teacher, but I would only want to teach music." In 2019, Shannon graduated from Malone University (OH) with her Bachelor of Arts in Music. While at Malone, she was actively involved in the Music Department as a member of the University Chorale, University Concert and Marching Band, and the Opera Theatre. Shannon graduated in May, 2021 with academic distinction from Liberty University (VA), earning a Master of Arts in Music Education. As a graduate student, Shannon wrote a thesis and performed a lecture recital on the impact and history of American female composers.
When not performing, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and cat. She is a musical theatre enthusiast, enjoying the likes of The King and I and Anything Goes to Waitress and Come From Away. Shannon also enjoys performing classical works by Caccini, Mozart, Schubert, Amy Beach, and others. She looks forward to getting to know her students and beginning a wonderful musical journey together!
