Toni Smith, Piano

Toni received a Bachelor of Music degree in Keyboard Pedagogy from Cedarville University, where she studied under Dr. Charles Clevenger, and joined the Piano Preparatory School in 2016. She performs as a soloist as well as accompanying both vocalists and instrumentalists. In addition to teaching private lessons, she has taught group classes and helped facilitate the Practice Partners program. Her research has included figured bass, maintaining adolescent students’ interest in music, and Béla Bartók’s contributions to ethnomusicology. She is passionate about tailoring her lessons to suit each student’s unique learning modality and being a positive role model for her students.
