Benjamin Geist, Piano

Benjamin is a home-schooled graduate from Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and a Master degree in Piano Performance at Wright State University under the guidance of Dr. Jackson Leung. While a student, he received Presidential Recognition from Wright State University’s President on behalf of Dr. Leung’s piano studio and was presented with the most prestigious music award at Wright State University, the Robert Stofer award. For six years, he has performed in Wright State's annual ArtsGala and was interviewed by the Dayton Daily News regarding his 2015 performance. He has performed  as a featured soloist in many different venues including Cincinnati's Music Hall, Wright State University's Nutter Center, Troy Hayner Cultural Center, Dayton Art Institute, and Otterbein Retirement Community. He is the winner of the 2014 OFMC Agnes Fowler competition and was a finalist in the 2014 Honor's Recital competition at Wright State University. Mr. Geist has performed in master classes given by world-renowned pianists, Sergei Babayan, and Ann Schein.  Mr. Geist is committed to continuing his studies and pursuing a deeper knowledge of music to better his ability to perform and teach. His interests extend to composing, and he is eager to continue to compose, perform, and share the music he has been given with others.
