Saul Meyerson-Knox, Guitar*

Saul completed a Master of Music degree with a double major in Classical Guitar Performance and Music History from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Guilford College (NC). His major teachers include Clare Callahan and Kami Rowan. Saul has taught undergraduate guitar lessons, beginning guitar classes and assisted in directing the CCM guitar ensemble at the University of Cincinnati. At CCM Saul was able to further explore his interest in both African music and the American Blues in his thesis “African Blues: The Sound and History of a Transatlantic Discourse,” that traced the roots of American Blues music back to its origins in West Africa. In 2005, Saul spent a semester abroad in London where he was studied with Carlos Bonell. He has performed in master classes with Oscar Gighlia, William Kanengiser and Sergio Assad. He currently teaches guitar and ukulele to students of all ages in the Dayton and Cincinnati areas.
